Each year, the Houston Wine Fest gathers international wineries and local oenophiles together in Hermann Square Park to clink glasses and sip on tasty batches produced by master winemakers. The 2013 event features more than 150 different wines from 30 different wineries, and performances from bands such as The Portland Cello Project and Soul Track Mind, with headliners Elle King and Morris Day and the Time. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the festival will donate 5% of ticket sales to The Rose Foundation and Sisters Network Inc.—two organizations that work to help women overcome the disease.

They could have had more wine vendors and the food booths did not
Pair well with wine. They should have had more cheese, meats and small bites.
It was more "carnival" type food. Other than that we enjoyed

The wine festival was perfect for a girl's day. We had an awesome time despite the humidity. Definitely going again next year.

this is the 3rd year of wine fest, the first year was great 2nd & 3rd not too good. The line for wine samples were too long don't seem like they have that many wine vendors this year. I just wish they can moved the line faster by not chit chating too much, people were standing there sampleing the wine for more than 5-10 mins, they should just sample the wine and move on and take the brochure with them.

I went on the 2nd day and none of the vendors had any sweet wines left. They all said they sold out of them one day one. I thought that was disappointing. On another note, Morris Day & The Time was great!

Always a great event. Morris Day & The Time put on a great show.
