Staff is, by and large, the worst part of the museum. Which is a shame, because this amazing facility has the opportunity to be a world leader when it comes to cultural institutions. But the lack of staff, the long lines, the frayed attitudes... it's embarrassing that the organization doesn't properly fans the support staff in am adequate way. Having said all that, it is a museum, and as such, it is culturally relevant. And if you can endure their shortcomings, there is a worthwhile experience to be enjoyed...

Take the day to wonder around. Been to many museums worldwide and proud to say that one of the best is right here in our backyard.

Wear very comfortable shoes & be prepared to spend 2-3 hrs. Love small children however judging by what I saw today, probably very difficult for them to have the focus or same appreciate that an adult has...

Take the subway and you can enjoy bloor st after the museum so be prepared to spend a full day in the neighborhood including dinner and lunch. Magic on a sunny day with light breeze like now (mid Aug).
