A Cultural Jewel of Newport
Featuring the world's largest collection of illustrated masterpieces, this cultural treasure in Newport explores how American illustration -- from names like Norman Rockwell and Maxfield Parrish -- has reflected the nation's social change and behavior. Lauded by past visitors, the NMAI is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August 31, at which point the museum will be open Fridays only, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For your convenience, free parking is available to museum guests across from the main gate on Victoria Avenue.
