The Start of an Architectural Revolution
Wright's home served as a place for architectural experimentation, and he explored different design concepts while raising his family in this house for 20 years. Robie House, located on the University of Chicago campus, is heralded as a breakthrough in modern architecture. Current restoration work is returning the house to its original appearance -- a building complete with gravity-defying overhangs and gorgeous, colorful glass.
