Disappointing. Expected a warmer atmosphere but felt the Front Desk Staff were snobbish and didn't help with any questions we had as tourists. By the end of the trip, I could have been a better aide to tourists than they had been. I wasn't given any explanations of amenities (was there a wine get together every night? if so, I never heard of it; was there an exercise room in this hotel? if so, I never heard of it). Very poor front desk staff; was abruptly told the Concierge was not available the first day we were staying and the front desk staff begrudgingly provided a tourist map with little/no effort given for directions to get to Pike Place and/or Waterfront. The only nice person we met was the waiter in the restaurant for the continental breakfast which provided good pastries.
pros: Location to Waterfront.
cons: Front Desk Staff unfriendly. Didn't help in us getting to Waterfront...just gave us map. Didn't offer "turn down" service for room (I only overheard this as I was checking out). Didn't help with questions about shuttle. Bed was barely made the first night

A real comfortable stay overall. Hotel staff super friendly, we were upgraded rooms at no cost when I had to book our stay on two separate reservations (which did not end up having the same room class). When the room at our lower level was too noisy due to street traffic hotel quickly accomodated us to a higher floor, and moved all of our luggage for us while we were away during the day. Staff was very attentive and were happy to bring up pitchers of filtered water for us. Would definitely stay here again.
pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location--easy access to Pioneer Square, Pike's Place and Monorail to Seattle Center.
cons: A bit of a nitpick, but the faucet handles in the bathroom sink were a real pain to operate. Again, pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. If you're sensitive to noise, do not recommend higher floors as the hotel is on corner of busy intersection.
