The Destination
Just north of the continent's highest-concentration of ski areas, and situated firmly within the anything-goes confines of Nevada, Reno can be whatever its guests want it to be, from adventure hub to gaming mecca. Especially now, after last year's unusually dry winter, the snow is falling on Lake Tahoe with renewed vigor, treating skiers and snowboarders to an epic season on the slopes. Add to that a handful of excellent restaurants and bright-lights entertainment venues, and the Biggest Little City in the World proves itself a vacation destination unlike any other.

The Digs
Circus Circus Reno—together with Silver Legacy and Eldorado resorts, to which Circus Circus is connected via indoor walkway—is Northern Nevada's largest entertainment complex. Start your stay by playing any number of table games or 900 slot and video poker machines, all while enjoying a couple of welcome cocktails. The resort also features 22 restaurants (from casual to fine dining), nine entertainment venues, and a handful of shopping outlets. All three options come with two morning coffees or hot chocolates, two breakfast pastries, and two welcome cocktails. Deluxe rooms at Circus Circus are some of the city's most spacious, featuring an updated design motif, city views, and luxe comfort.

The Diversions
• Starting at $15 you can reserve a seat on a shuttle from the hotel to Mt. Rose, home to 1,200 acres of skiable terrain
• Tuck into dinner at The Steakhouse at Circus or Kokopelli's Sushi
• Visit the Nevada Museum of Art, the state's only accredited art museum

For more, check out Circus Circus Reno on Facebook.

  • "The rooms are large (the bathrooms are huge), very clean, in excellent shape, and have fun décor."
