hotel description

Located on Pier 67, The Edgewater is Seattle's only waterfront hotel. It is situated downtown within walking distance to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and all of the city's vibrant shopping and entertainment facilities. Additional nearby attractions include the Olympic Sculpture Park, the Seattle Aquarium, and the Pioneer Square historical district. The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is also close by.

This luxury waterfront hotel offers a unique alternative to standard downtown hotels. On one side is the water, and on the other is a view of the city with the mountains in the background. All 223 rooms offer fantastic vistas, a homey feel, and a fireplace. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception, and additional facilities include a hotel safe, newspaper stand, bar, room service, laundry service, and on-site gym. Internet access and parking are available for a fee.

The rooms offer a view of Seattle's skyline, and all are en suite with a shower, bath, and hairdryer, as well as bath amenities -- there's even a rubber ducky! Each accommodation is furnished with custom-designed knotty pine furniture, overstuffed chairs, and a fuzzy bear ottoman located in front of the gas fireplace. In addition, all rooms feature 100 percent Egyptian cotton bedding. Further amenities include a double or king-size bed, an iron with ironing board, an in-room private bar and fridge, coffee service with complimentary Starbucks coffee, a seating area, cordless telephone, Internet access, a radio and a high-definition TV with digital entertainment and cable/satellite channels. For dining, there's the award-winning Six Seven restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and a buffet or set menu dinner.

guest reviews

guest score: very good | 9 out of 10

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not anything too special, but, quite nice. The walk-in shower was very nice. The fire place pilot light was somewhat disturbing in the night in that it flickered. We did not ask to have it turned off, but did not see instructions available.
pros: The location.
cons: The. Cost for parking was a lot higher than I expected, given other hotels I have stayed at in downtown Seattle.

pros: Hotel and Valet Staff and location
cons: Restaurant not as good as hotel staff. Also, dry creamer in rooms should have been 1/2 and 1/2 cream. And the lighting in the bathroom was bad and needed to have brighter lights for putting on makeup.
