we got a great deal through priceline's express deals. i knew about the expensive parking and no wifi. we were hoping to find another local to park but after an hour of trying to find the lot the valet suggested ($22 vs $48), we gave up and used the valet. we weren't going in and out, but if you will be using your car the $48 would be worth it. the roof top pool was very relaxing and clean. the staff was very friendly. we took a break from sight seeing ever day there. easy to take a nap in there awesome beds around the pool. it wasn't crowded around 3-5 during the week. life guard is very attentive to kids. i was impressed. it was a couple blocks from the capitol and about 1.3 from the holocaust museum. the only real problem for us was the very smelly shower curtain. the room was clean, but the shower curtain obviously had not been washed recently... i would stay there agin for the same deal. and would highly recommend for all travelers. i would not have paid there full price.
pros: the rooftop pool, great location, friendly staff, and quiet comfortable rooms.
cons: expensive valet parking, no wifi in the room, shower curtain smelled awful.

pros: It's proximity to Union Station and that Big Bus Tours has a stop right in front of the hotel.

I needed a hotel room close to the Convention Center that wouldn't break the bake and this hotel was met those two needs extremely well. The bed was comfortable. The room was nice, but the bathroom smelled. I expect room service to be overpriced, but the food is usually good. I ordered room service one night for dinner that included the smallest serving of diet coke I have ever seen, a green salad with grilled chicken and a random sardine (I think it was a sardine. It wasn't an anchovie.), and collard greens that had more lentils than greens. So overall, this hotel was a great value, but I wouldn't recommend dining there.
pros: Location and price
cons: The bathroom smelled like urine and the room service dining didn't have many healthy options.
