The Destination
Maui no ka oi—roughly, "Maui is the best"—has become this Hawaiian island's unofficial motto, and it's easy to see why: The long stretches of sand, tropical verdure, and awesome swells deserve all the superlatives that come their way. See it all for yourself with this Escape, courtesy of Apple Vacations.

The Digs
Situated between two white-sand beaches, the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa offers guests a panoramic view of the stunning scenery of Maui. Kick back in your ocean-view room, which boasts luxuries like Marriott Revive bedding, a flat-screen television, and a deep soaking bathtub. On-site dining options let you savor Hawaii's fresh seafood during lunch at the casual Kumu Bar & Grill, or during a Pacific Rim-inspired dinner at the upscale Mala Wailea. Choose from a list of spa services unique to the hotel at the Mandara Spa, or play a round or two at the nearby Wailea Golf Club. And of course, the property's perfect location means you'll be just minutes away from one of the world's top beaches.

  • "Admit it—you’re grinning already, even before you step on the plane. It starts with the idea of Maui…the anticipation. Maybe you can hear the twang of a steel guitar and feel the balmy breezes. But it’s once you arrive that the real thrill begins."
