From the steamy sensuality of Rio to the vivid colors of the rain forest, Brazil's natural beauty is always in season.

The Destination
In Brazil's Rio de Janeiro, you'll find color in every crowd—from the bouncing feathers and glimmering sequins of Carnival to the skimpy bathing suits on the city's sultry (and jam-packed) beaches. A more sophisticated palette is on display at the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum, while the statue of Christ the Redeemer watches over the city from its perch atop a jungle-covered peak.

Venture deeper into the heart of the continent, and a new side of Brazil reveals itself in Manaus. Here, you'll still find soaring high-rises and bustling urban life, but beyond those man-made structures of steel and lights lies more than 1,000 miles of teeming, loamy life in the surrounding rain forest. As a prime jumping-off point for treks into the wild, this island of modern civilization is where you'll stock up and prepare to answer the jungle's siren call.

You'll see it all during this eight-day trip from Brazil Nuts Tours, which includes round-trip flights to Brazil, domestic transportation, guided tours, and accommodations that range the spectrum from modern convenience to jungle charm.

The Itinerary
day 1:
Board your flight from Miami to Rio de Janeiro. Meals and snacks will be provided on the plane.

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you'll be transported to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to get to know the lively city, and the optional Rio by Night tour provides a rhythm-filled introduction to Rio's dynamic nightlife.
Overnight at the Windsor Copa Hotel.

day 3:
This morning, you'll enjoy a half-day tour of the city, including climbing Corcovado mountain for a bird's-eye view of the Guanabara Bay. Emerge from the steamy Tijuca rain forest on the edge of the city to take in breathtaking views laid out below you—and be sure to stop for a stunning photo op at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.
Overnight at the Windsor Copa Hotel. Breakfast provided.

day 4:
Take the day to tour local sights on your own, or relax on golden sands under sunny skies.
Overnight at the Windsor Copa Hotel. Breakfast provided.

day 5:
You'll fly to Manaus before noon, catching glimpses of the surrounding lush jungle during transport via van and boat to your accommodations in the wild depths of the Amazon rain forest, where you'll be greeted with welcome beverages. After dinner, join an experienced guide for a nighttime canoeing expedition to spot caimans, crocodiles indigenous to the Amazon waterways.
Overnight at Amazon Tupana Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 6:
Start your day with a guided jungle trek to soak up vibrant life in the surrounding rain forests. After lunch, you'll try your hand at hooking piranhas on a motorized canoe, taking in a spectacular sunset on the way home.
Overnight at Amazon Tupana Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 7:
Rise and shine for a sunrise canoe trip to espy marine life, including birds and pink dolphins, before visiting a local family at their homestead to gain insight on local culture and customs. If you start to feel your heart beating to the rhythm of the jungle, you can opt for an overnight expedition deeper into the jungle (hammock and mosquito netting are provided).
