The Destinations
Dubai's reputation as a global economic hub and an ultra-luxurious playground for oil magnates is perfectly encapsulated by the Burj Al Arab, a sleek 1,000-foot-tall hotel whose curved facade was built to resemble a ship's sail. Sometimes called the Cloud City, this Western-style metropolis is famous for its skyscrapers, including the 211-story Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building at 2,722 feet. Dubai's cultural heritage remains alive and thriving at the traditional Gold Souk market, home to more than 300 jewelry vendors (and approximately ten tons of gold at any given moment).

Then it's off to Bangkok. An explosion of color, scents, and sounds, Thailand's capital city reveals itself the way it sounds—with a bang. Rustic, regal, and exotic, Bangkok brims with sensory delights. From the gold-drenched Temple of the Reclining Buddha and the opulent Grand Palace to the spice-soaked flavors of the city's infamous floating markets (think food trucks in canoes), Bangkok offers an ever-rotating carousel of adventures minute by fast-paced minute. Hop in a tuk-tuk (rickshaws on motorbikes) and careen through shop-laden streets with the wind at your back, or sail above the crowds on the sophisticated Skytrain en route to a high-end club. History-rich, Bangkok is as vibrant as its signature silks that waft in the hot afternoon sun.

The Itinerary
day 1: Depart for your exciting journey to Dubai on a wide-body jet flight via Emirates Airlines.

day 2: Arrive in Dubai and a representative will assist you through visa and customs, then escort you to your coach for the short transfer to your award-winning, centrally located, five-star hotel.
Overnight at the Fairmont Dubai.

day 3: After breakfast and orientation at the hotel, you'll be able to arrange optional excursions or spend time on your own. Then, board your coach for the first stop of the day: Dubai's picturesque Creek, which offers a spectacular panorama of the city. Next stop: the Bastakiya District, where traditional courtyard houses, with wind towers that provide natural air conditioning, line the narrow alleys. Continue on to the Dubai Museum, where dioramas depict life in Dubai before the discovery of oil. Find beautiful bargain-priced textiles, spices, and gold at the bustling souks, then visit the Burj Khalifa observation deck, which officially opened in 2010 as the tallest building in the world. The tour also includes an abra—or water taxi—ride, then it's back to your deluxe hotel.
Overnight at the Fairmont Dubai. Breakfast provided.

day 4: Enjoy a full day at your leisure in Dubai. Be sure to visit the Mall of the Emirates, where you'll have a chance to don a jacket, boots, gloves, and hat on the indoor ski slopes.

day 6: Your included city tour takes you to Bangkok city center, where you'll see some of the most ornate and interesting temples in the city, including Wat Trimitr, home of the 700-year-old Golden Buddha. Overnight at the Dusit Thani Bangkok. Breakfast provided.

day 7: Explore Bangkok at your leisure, or join optional tours.
Overnight at the Dusit Thani Bangkok. Breakfast provided.
