The Destination
True to the Mexican half of its Tex-Mex roots, San Antonio is not unlike a piñata—chock full of surprises and exploding with excitement. History buffs, of course, will not want to forget the Alamo, but more modern attractions also await along the city's meandering River Walk—a tree-lined waterfront playground where cafés and clubs virtually spill over the banks. Will definitely stay at Crockett our next trip to San Antonio.
pros: The motel was walking distance close to all the things we wanted to visit and see. Self parking was a breeze and easy. Breakfast was good and room air conditioner was great.
cons: No complaints.

Six out of ten, I stand by that.
pros: FREE breakfast, big plus. Convenience to downtown area ---had to walk every where but did not mind.
cons: Paying for parking my car near the hotel. Sure, got discount on room, but after being told I had to pay for parking, cost was nearly back to regular price! Was initially shocked by the "coziness" of the room. Tiny swimming pool, always locked.

For the money, this is a good hotel in a wonderful spot. I would stay there again.
pros: The history and location are great ... if you like old buildings, this place is for you. If you want to be across the street (literally) from the Alamo, this place is for you.
cons: We had to pay to use their valet lot. There was always one guy on staff when we were there, and he was never available. We self-parked in the valet lot and had to pay the same price.
