The Destination
Famous for its Adriatic shoreline and Roman architecture, Rimini's breathtaking landscape is rife with historic sites and gorgeous beaches. This stunning landscape is a cyclist's dream. Navigate the breathtaking surroundings, pedaling hills and coasting into valleys along many of the same routes followed by world-class cyclists.

The quintessential Italian ambiance—coupled with an abundance of grape-bearing vines and lush olive trees—provides the perfect backdrop for an exploration into the art of Italian cooking. Follow the lead of Rimini's top chefs during comprehensive cooking classes. Learn traditional techniques and recipes before trying your hand at making oven-baked pizza, wild boar with polenta, tagliata, and more from scratch. Roll out your own pasta and perfect your own secret sauce recipe. Outside the kitchen, you'll get a true taste for la dolce vita. Sample the region's world-class wine and olive oil on curated trips; explore the historic surroundings by bike; and indulge in luxury amenities at a oceanfront hotel.

You'll experience a side of Italy tourists rarely see with this cycling trip and culinary experience in Rimini, courtesy of Battaglin-USA.

The Itinerary
day 1: Arrive at the Rimini Federico Fellini International Airport or another nearby airport for a transfer to your oceanside luxury accommodations (please contact Battaglin-USA for any questions regarding airport or transportation needs). Settle in for a welcome lunch or dinner at the hotel's signature restaurant before spending the rest of the day at your own leisure.
Overnight at a four-star hotel. Lunch or dinner is provided.

day 2: Wake to a gourmet breakfast prepared by the property's resident chef before getting acquainted with the Emilia-Romagna region. Depending on your unique itinerary, you'll spend days two and three or days four and five cycling—your mileage and duration will depend on your skill level. Take in lovely views of the Adriatic Coast as the guides show you some of the more famous cycling routes in the country.

Roll up your sleeves and begin your culinary training at lunch, where you can chose from a selection of dishes to master. The afternoon is free of activities—the ideal time to see Rimini's historical sites. Return to the hotel for a delicious three-course meal.
Overnight at a four-star hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided.

day 3: Explore downtown Rimini and Cattolica. You won't want to miss Cavour Square, the triumphant Fontana della Pigna, and the Arco d'Augusto that was built by the Romans in 27 BC. Next, depart for one of the Emilia-Romagna region's famous vineyards just off the coastline. You'll be guided through an intoxicating tasting of Old-World wines and eccentric flavors. Finish your day with a three-course dinner back at the hotel.
Overnight at a four-star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided.

day 4: Today, learn about one of Italy's key ingredients—olive oil. The class includes an introduction to the different regional varieties and how they are made. Taste a selection of local olive oils accompanied with a selection of bread and local cheeses.
Overnight at a four-star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided.

day 5: Gain a true appreciation for Italy's finest products during a gourmet cheese and Italian meats class at a local farm. Sample various local cheeses, learning to distinguish the undertones of each, and snack on cold cuts from organic farm-raised animals.
Overnight at a four-star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided.

day 6: Spend the day as you chose. Opt for several speciality excursions available for an additional cost. Some options include: a professionally guided cycling tour, castle and tours, guided hiking and nordic walking tours, a Lamborghini factory tour, and a Ferrari museum tour and test drive. Transfer back to the airport for a flight back to the US. You'll leave with a love for Italian culture and an arsenal of culinary tricks that can help you continue living the good life at home.
Breakfast provided.
