Pictures don't do this African adventure justice—spot lions, hippos, and giraffes in the Serengeti on an eight-day safari.

The Destination
Tanzania tops any wildlife-lover's bucket list. It is, after all, home to the world's highest concentration of national parks—14 of them in all. On the vast plains of the Serengeti, visitors can take in an annual wildebeest migration, a truly awe-inspiring natural spectacle. Then, at the Ngorongoro Crater—which boasts one of the densest populations of lions on earth—you'll have a chance to spot big cats, exotic birds, wild pachyderms, and more. Animals you've glimpsed behind bars at the zoo abound untethered in this southeast African country, all in front of an equally breathtaking backdrop that, even for first-time visitors, is instantly recognizable—and unforgettable.

Bring your camera, but remember to put it down once in awhile and take in your magnificent surroundings on this eight-day trip from One World Safari Tours.

A socially responsible company that donates a minimum of ten percent of its proceeds to local nonprofits, One World Safari Tours specializes in the northern circuit of Tanzania's national parks, leading game drives through the Serengeti and beyond. You could trek to the top of mountains, explore vast volcanic craters, and photograph prides of lions in their natural habitat—all on one unforgettable adventure. Or, if you'd like to be as community-minded as this company, there are voluntourism opportunities available, too. The many wonders of Tanzania are explored with ease through One World Safari Tours—from the dizzying heights of Mount Kilimanjaro to the wildlife-packed plains of the Serengeti.

  • This was the most amazing experience of my life! I LOVED One World and would recommend them to anyone else interested in trekking up Kilimanjaro, taking a safari, or volunteering.

  • Not only was the trip itself amazing, but it was great how everything was set up and organized for us. OWST provided us with a very good guide, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will surely recommend OWST to others who are going to Tanzania!
